Josephine Law is the founder and Managing Director of Nexxus Co., Ltd, a consultancy agency specializing in brand strategies, brand licensing and brand acquisition. She brings to the agency over two decades of licensing, manufacturing, product development, marketing and branding experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of the Asian market. Her experience working with and maximizing the performance of licensees and retail partners is unparalleled.
Prior to Nexxus, Josephine headed up the Asia business of The Beanstalk Group. She was responsible for strategic oversight and execution of the agency’s efforts across the Asian region, including the expansion of existing clients’ licensing programs as well as prospecting for new clients and business opportunities in Asia. During her time with Beanstalk, Josephine had successfully secured major licensee partnerships for Beanstalk’s key global accounts, including Talking Friends, Paris Hilton, Jaguar and Land Rover. She was also instrumental in the expansion of the Ford Motor Company licensing program in the region. She played a crucial role in developing the company’s prestigious fashion client portfolio which then included Aquascutum and Big John.
Before joining Beanstalk, Josephine was Global Licensing Director for Byford International Ltd., a British men’s apparel, underwear and hosiery brand. Prior to that, she was the Licensing Area Manager for the Asia Pacific ELLE magazine licensing program and started up its Greater Chinaoperation.
Josephine has started serving on the Design, Marketing and Licensing Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council since 2011 and were appointed to the Award Evaluation Committee for the 8th, 9th and 10th Premier Asian Licensing Awards. She has been an active speaker for various domestic and international conferences on licensing and was guest speaker at Hong Kong University Space for Executive Certificate Program in Licensing Practices in 2014. Josephine was named one of the “100 Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs of China” in 2009 and “Outstanding Brand Woman” in 2014.
She holds a bachelor of arts major in English from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
